The Gai Waterhouse-trained Driefontein's late autumn surge in form has continued with her win in the Group One Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville.
Appreciating firmer footing on offer in Adelaide after two unplaced runs on wet track during the Sydney autumn carnival, Driefontein backed up from her RN Irwin Stakes win to post her first Group One victory on Saturday.
Jockey Vlad Duric allowed Driefontein ($6.50) to control the race in front and she lifted bravely to beat the favourite Platelet ($3.50) and take her career earngs past $2 million.
Gregers ($5) stalked Driefontein throughout before taking the minor placing.
While Brad Rawiller just missed out on Platelet, he matched his brother's Group One exploits on Saturday, winning the Australasian Oaks.
Nash Rawiller brought Japanese mare Hana's Goal from the back to win the All Aged Stakes at Randwick and then only a few minutes later, Brad won on May's Dream.
In a driving finish, the Darren Weir-trained May's Dream, the $3.20 favourite, edged out Star Fashion ($9) by a short head with Scratchy Bottom ($7) the same margin away third.
