Jumps jockey Paul Gallagher received a 28-day ban from riding after failing a breath test at Warrnambool on Wednesday.
Stewards breathalysed all 36 jockeys riding at Warrnambool with Gallagher the only one to submit to an elevated blood alcohol reading.
Gallagher initially blew .042, more than double the .02 limit, before showing a .030 reading 20 minutes later.
Stewards stood Gallagher down from the ride on Gimme Some Savings in the Galleywood Hurdle.
Gallagher pleaded guilty to arriving on course with an elevated blood alcohol content before he was banned from May 1 until midnight on May 28.
Meanwhile, Grand Annual Steeplechase contenders Palmero, King Triton and Via Savoia will all undergo veterinary tests before being allowed to run in the race.
Stewards have ordered vet checks for all horses backing up from Tuesday's meeting, including Warrnambool Cup fancy Shiny Buttons.
