Mick Price worked two colts together on Tuesday morning but they will debut in different states on Saturday.
Price paired Moonovermanhattan and Seenaan for trackwork but the two-year-olds will start their careers at Morphettville and Flemington respectively.
The trainer said Seenaan did best in the gallop, which augurs well for his chances in the opening heat of the Taj Rossi Series (1100m).
"He's a smart and sharp colt that will be suited to the 1100 (metres)," Price said.
"He's a little runner that is neat, fit and has trialled well so he'll definitely be competitive."
Moonovermanhattan faces a tougher task in the Group Three National Stakes over 1200m.
Price said the Manhattan Rain colt had plenty to learn but had shown enough to suggest he could perform well first-up in stakes company.
"He's a big, boisterous colt that will benefit from the trip interstate," Price said.
"He's a nice colt and I really like him but in his trials, he looks like he wants 1400 or 1600 (metres)."
Price said he would spell Moonovermanhattan after the National Stakes ahead of a spring three-year-old campaign.
The Caulfield trainer expects the horse to flourish into a classy miler next season.
Bookmakers have kept both horses safe in early betting with Seenaan an $8.50 chance at Flemington while Moonovermanhattan is at $6 to score on debut in Adelaide.
Price said he was likely to scratch Mighty Like from the Flemington Green Fields Handicap (1400m) after the gelding drew barrier 17.
