Unreserved Reduction Sale of Patinack Farm Broodmares on December 7 at Newmarket
Patinack Farm will sell, UNRESERVED, over 40 mares at the Sydney Summer Thoroughbred Sale . Stud Manager, Ben Lawrence, noted, “Patinack Farm currently has close to 400 mares and our plan for some time has been to reduce that number to 300. After our recent reduction of 200 mares we are pleased to offer another group of mares to breeders with the aim of getting to our target number.”
Over 30 mares will be sold with foals at foot highlighted by the three-in-one packages Melody and Thundarosa. Stakes-placed Stravinsky mare and producer of stakes performed Motifs, Melody will be sold with a Onemorenomore filly at foot and in foal to Casino Prince. Stakes placed Thundarosa will be presented with a Casino Prince filly at foot and in foal to Lope de Vega.
Lemon Ruski, the dam of stakes winner Real Stolle, will be sold with a colt foal at foot by Husson. While Dialogue, producer of stakes performer Unannounced, will have a filly foal by Lope de Vega alongside her. The dam of unbeaten Snitzel gelding Maroney Avenue and stakes performed Occurrence, Happens, will be sold with a Husson filly at foot. Other mares to be sold will enter the sale ring with foals at foot by Murtajill, Monaco Consul and Raheeb.
The draft will have a number of mares to be sold in foal to commercial stallions, including last year’s leading 1st crop sire by winners, Husson, leading 2nd crop sire, Casino Prince, Onemorenomore, Murtajill, Lope de Vega, Monaco Consul, Trusting, Raheeb and Pluck. Mares of note include Holbrook Lass, the dam of Group One Caulfield Guineas winner In Top Swing, being sold in foal to Lope de Vega. American bred Goodrum, out of a stakes winning half-sister to USA Horse of the Year, Mineshaft, is offered with a positive test to Onemorenomore.
“A great opportunity exists to purchase a quality broodmare as Patinack Farm have retained well performed close relations that they will continue to breed with commercially, and sell progeny at major sales or raced by the strong Patinack stable. Buyers can bid with confidence knowing all the mares entering the sale ring will be sold,” commented Inglis Sydney Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy.
All mares carry a free return to their 2012 covers. Prospective buyers are advised that the following transferable free returns apply:
Patinack Farm will honour all free returns to mares that are sold in foal to their 2011 coverings, and should the mare slip her foal, or the foal is born dead, or does not stand and suckle within 24 hours of birth, the purchaser can send the mare back to that Patinack Farm stallion (or should the stallion have died, been sold or exported a Patinack Farm stallion of equivalent value)
