David Brideoake is content to wait to test Griante in black type races despite the filly completing her second straight win at Caulfield.
Griante carried 59kg in her tough on-pace win at her first start over 1600m in the Chase Hotel Handicap.
Brideoake, who trains Griante in partnership with David Feek, said he was debating whether to spell the three-year-old with an eye on the spring after her latest success.
"There's not much left in her," Brideoake said.
"I think maybe one more (run), we'll see where we go."
Griante's win might have been her third in a row had she not laid out under pressure at Caulfield on April 19.
Brideoake was mindful of Griante's wayward tendency when he booked Luke Currie to ride her, rejecting the temptation to use an apprentice's claim.
Currie let the $3.40 favourite race outside the leader Marli Magic before she out-sprinted her opposition in the last 300 metres to score by a half-neck.
"He rode her beautifully and she got pretty good sectionals and fought pretty well with that weight," Brideoake said.
"She's just been that little bit green in the last couple of runs and she should mature."
Currie's partnership with Griante will be short-lived as the jockey heads to Mauritius to begin a six-month contract in the coming weeks.
Madam Gangster ($8.50) ran home honestly to take second from Marli Magic ($21).
