Unbeaten Melbourne colt Pressing will have a new jockey for his first interstate assignment in Saturday's Group Two BRC Sires' Produce Stakes at Doomben.
Pressing has won twice at Caulfield with Daniel Moor then Brad Rawiller aboard and Damien Oliver will partner the Mick Price-trained youngster in his Brisbane test.
"Damien rides many of our horses in work and he has a good knowledge of the horse," Price said.
Pressing pleased Price with his work on Saturday morning and the two-year-old will get his first look at the Doomben course proper on Tuesday when he gallops with his stablemate Jazz Song.
"He just did some even time on Saturday and he worked well," Price said.
"They will work over 1000 metres tomorrow and Pressing is very well in himself so I'm happy with the way things are going."
Pressing has settled at the tail of the field in both his starts to date before reeling off impressive finishing sectional times to swamp his opposition.
Tougher opposition and the Doomben track may hamper Pressing's bid to remain unbeaten in the BRC Sires' Produce but Price said the Group One JJ Atkins (1600m) was the Sebring colt's priority.
"All he has to do to meet expectations is to hit the line," Price said.
"Whether it's a win or placing or a fast finish, that's all I'm looking for and hopefully we can train him on and move along to the JJ Atkins."
Oliver will also partner Jazz Song in the Group Three Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m).
Craig Newitt rode the Fastnet Rock filly to her surprise win in the Group Three Typhoon Tracy Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on February 21 before Oliver rode her into second behind Miracles Of Life in the Group Two Sportingbet Stakes in Adelaide last time out.
