Buffering, Rebel Dane draw wide in 10,000

Wednesday 21 May 2014, 11:14am

Doomben 10,000 favourites Buffering and Rebel Dane have drawn outside barriers for the Group One sprint.

In a draw that has pleased trainer Rob Heathcote, Buffering will start from gate eight in the 11-horse field on Saturday.

Sydney sprinter Rebel Dane will start from barrier 10 with only South Australian-trained Conservatorium on his outside.

BTC Cup winner Famous Seamus has an inside alley in gate three with Scream Machine, a ride for Tye Angland who has returned to Australia after almost four seasons in Hong Kong, to start from the rails.

Driefontein and Peron, the only two mares in the field, have drawn gates five and seven respectively.
