Star Australian jockey Craig Williams will compete in the UK in July after his latest riding stint in Japan is completed.
Williams, who rides in the Group One Japan Derby this weekend, has revealed he will spend time in Europe after he finishes his current contract in Japan at the end of next month.
"My last meeting here (in Japan) is the Takarazuka Kinen on the 29th of June and then I come home for a week and I'm actually heading over to Europe to ride for Sheikh Fahad and (trainer) Marco Botti for July," Williams told Melbourne radio station RSN.
Williams has enjoyed success for Sheikh Fahad Al Thani, owner of Melbourne and Caulfield Cup winner Dunaden.
He won the 2012 Caulfield Cup and 2011 Geelong Cup on Dunaden as well as the 2011 Hong Kong Vase.
Williams also rode the Marco Botti-trained Dandino to second in last year's Caulfield Cup.
He said the month in Europe would be a combination of work and leisure with his first meeting set to be at Newmarket on July 10.
The jockey then plans to holiday in Italy and France with his wife before returning for more English racing features at Ascot and Goodwood.
Williams's success in previous English stints includes a victory in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes aboard Tobougg in 2000.
On Sunday Williams will ride Hagino Hybrid, winner of his past two starts, in the Japan Derby.
