Group One winner Commanding Jewel will have an exhibition gallop at Moonee Valley on Saturday in an important stepping stone to a planned big race return in Brisbane.
The Leon Corstens-trained mare is being aimed for a first-up tilt in the Group One Tattersall's Tiara (1400m) at Eagle Farm later this month.
Commanding Jewel is on the comeback trail after hurting her foot in a paddock accident while spelling after a muscle injury cut short her spring campaign last year.
A winner of four of her seven starts, including the 2012 Group One Thousand Guineas and last year's Group Two Let's Elope Stakes, Commanding Jewel has contested a Seymour jump-out and finished second in a recent Cranbourne barrier trial as she builds up to her race return.
Part-owner Brad Spicer confirmed the mare would gallop with stablemate Word Of Mouth before the first race.
The $500,000 Tattersall's Tiara for fillies and mares is on June 21 at Eagle Farm.
