Owners will vie for a record $19.4 million in bonuses next season after Racing Victoria announced improvements to the Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold incentive schemes.
Four-year-old horses will race for $2 million in bonuses as the VOBIS Gold initiative takes in the age group for the first time in 2014/15.
RV will program 100 races for four-year-olds and a combination of three and four-year-olds that will all carry $20,000 in bonuses.
Prizemoney allocated to the VOBIS Gold Premier race series will rise by $400,000 to $1.9 million while the new Pakenham track will host one of the 13 scheduled races on April 26 next year.
Next season's fixture will also feature a VOBIS Gold Breeders' race day to be held at Caulfield on April 15 next year.
The success of the VOBIS Gold scheme has helped attract a record number of horses nominated for the Super VOBIS initiative.
The Victorian Government also contributed to the record bonuses on offer via its continuing commitment to provide $6.8 million of funding to VOBIS Gold over four years.
Owners and breeders have until June 30 to pay the $1100 required to nominate their rising two-year-old to join the VOBIS Gold contenders next season.
