Blake Shinn will appeal a careless riding suspension that threatens his rides for Wendy Walter on her last day of training.
Shinn received a 10-meeting ban at Canterbury on Wednesday, continuing a poor record of suspensions over the past 12 months.
His suspension will start after Saturday's Rosehill meeting and will run through until July 16.
Shinn was found guilty of causing interference to Tye Angland's mount in the Mossman @ Vinery Handicap.
Wendy Walter has decided to hand in her licence after the Rosehill meeting on July 5 and horses trained by her late husband Guy will be transferred to different trainers.
Warwick Farm trainer Joe Pride will lease the stables from where Guy Walter prepared 36 Group One winners.
Shinn formed a formidable combination with Guy Walter and the Melbourne Cup-winning jockey has been instrumental in helping Wendy Walter to keep the stable running since his death last month.
He has been granted a stay of proceedings until the appeal is heard.
