Leading South Australian Stud Cornerstone have announced they will be offering 10 well-credentialed broodmares at the upcoming Inglis Sydney Summer Sale on Friday 7 December where selling will commence at 11am.
The catalogue already features the highly anticipated dispersal sale of Brooklyn Lodge and a reduction sale on behalf of Patinack Farm featuring 47 broodmares.

Cornerstone’s offering will feature eleven mares including seven in foal to their resident stallion Hussonet (USA) who has enjoyed an outstanding Spring Carnival in Melbourne. Highlighted by the Peter Snowden trained Tatra who was successful in the Group Two Sandown Guineas last Saturday. Hussonet also had his 3YO fillies Walk with Attitude and Member’s Joy winning at Listed level in Melbourne. Last weekend also saw an outstanding performance by his son Glorious Days (pictured above, supplied by HKJC) who brilliantly won the Group Two HKJC Jockey Club Mile which is seen as the traditional lead up to the Group One HKJC International Mile run in early December.
Cornerstone proprietor Sam Hayes had double reason to celebrate the win of Glorious Days as he will offer a half-sister to the boom Hong Kong galloper at the Summer Sale in foal to Hussonet (USA) making the resultant foal a most valuable three-quarter relation to John Size’s exciting performer. Named Azardi, the mare is also a half-sister to stakes winners Spurcent and Bangalore Bullet and she herself has recently produced the impressive Listed winner All Legal.
Another mare sure to capture buyer’s interest at the sale is Sunday’s Girl. A winning daughter of Choisir she is also a half-sister to Group One winner Rockabubble and is the dam of recent Spring Carnival stakes winner Unpretentious.
Buyers looking for a three in one package have several to consider including Music Class, carrying a three-quarter relation to stakes winner Huxssen with a filly foal at foot by Starcraft (NZ).
All lots in the Cornerstone draft are either from a black type mare or a half-sister to a black type performer. The offering will also include mares in foal to MRC Blue Diamond winner Reaan and VRC Emirates Stakes winner Happy Trails sire Good Journey.
