In-form siblings chasing more wins

Thursday 22 November 2012, 5:20pm

Motelier Frank Hayes doesn't mind one bit if it continues to be his horses bringing home the cash when he saddles up in-form relations Chiasma and Kosciuszko Moon at Orange on Friday.

The meeting has a city touch to it with leading jockeys Hugh Bowman and Blake Shinn taking part, along with runners from the stables of some of Sydney's leading stables.

This may make it harder for the Hayes duo who haven't stopped winning races over the past six weeks.

Chiasma has won four of her past five starts and her year younger brother Kosciuszko Moon his past two.

Hayes operates the Adrian Hotel at Forbes and is having a great time with his two gallopers.

"I only train five and to have two going so well has been great," he said.

"It's much stiffer competition on Friday but I'm happy with how they are going.

"Chiasma's race is pretty hard with the likes of Color Purple and Mossamine in who have city form to their credit."

Chiasma, a winner of ten of her 36 starts, is raced by Hayes in partnership with some friends, while he leases Kosciuszko Moon himself.

He believes Kosciuszko Moon can handle the class rise after recent wins at Forbes and Dubbo.

"I took him to Forbes and the win gave him confidence," he said.

"He is jumping a grade to a Class three, but he isn't a bad horse.

"Chiasma is very honest and has done a big job for us as well."

The 53-year-old said both had trained on well and he was expecting them to be in the finish.
