Apprentice Jordan Childs paid a heavy penalty for weighing in 1kg over his allotted weight when second in Sunday's Sportingbet Best Tote Handicap (1400m) at Sandown.
Childs's mount To Be Honest finished a nose behind Appoint but the jockey weighed in at 54kg instead of the required 53kg after his 3kg claim.
He pleaded guilty to weighing in over his correct handicap before he received a seven-meeting suspension, which begins at midnight on Sunday.
Stewards soured Ben Melham's day after suspending him for 10 meetings for causing interference during his winning ride on Baron Archer in the Schweppes Handicap (1400m).

Melham's penalty will begin after Tuesday's Geelong Synthetic meeting, meaning he will miss two city meetings but will be available to ride in the Group Three Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield on July 26.
Apprentice Jackie Beriman earned an eight-meeting suspension for careless riding aboard Bold Eavey in the Cove Hotel Handicap (1200m).
