Son of Shaft named Canberra Horse of the Year

Monday 14 July 2014, 4:04pm

Laurie's Love has been awarded the Canberra horse of the year award after a great season totalling 5 wins and 3 placings.

His sire will stand this 2014 season at Hardwicke Stud and presents breeders a sensational opportunity to get into a stallion who is constantly producing good sound performers such as Laurie's Love. Hardwicke stud master Peter Holloway said Shaft is pleasure to have around, his temperament is great and he puts in strength and speed into his progeny who are winning consistently.

Being a Silver Slipper winner by Flying Spur out of a Rahy mare and from the family that has given us Typhoon Tracey breeders are very fortunate to have Shaft in the region. Lauries Love is a great type and along with other very promising Shafts such as Such Hope and Mr One Eleven who is with John Sargent the future looks great.

Shaft is probably the best bred stallion around at $3,300, check out his stallion profile on Bloodstock.com.au by clicking here
