Early Golden Rose favourite Earthquake is an unlikely runner in the $1 million race with her spring campaign focused on Group One racing against fillies.
Earthquake heads betting on the Golden Rose at $4.60 from the Golden Slipper winner Mossfun ($6.50).
Brisbane winter carnival Group One winner Almalad is on the next line of betting at $8 with Earthquake's stablemate Sarajevo the only other runner under double figures at $9.
Incoming Godolphin racing manager Henry Plumptre said Earthquake would be given her chance to extend her brilliance to 1600m against her own age and sex.
"She will be set on a Flight Stakes or a Thousand Guineas path in the spring," he said.
"Some of her family has struggled at times at seven furlongs (1400m) but we'll let her find her feet up to that distance and see how she goes."
Earthquake covered ground in winning the Blue Diamond Stakes but found Mossfun too strong on rain-affected ground in the Golden Slipper.
Trainer John O'Shea is expected to give Earthquake two more weeks of work before sending her out for a barrier trial.
Stablemate Meursault has been one of the first horses to tighten in Golden Rose betting, firming from $35 to $21.
The Golden Rose will be run at Rosehill on September 13.
