The first part of trainer Peter Moody's plan to build on Sino Eagle's racetrack record this campaign has been a success at Caulfield on Saturday.
The more important part will be trying to add to the mare's black-type placing from the autumn in the new racing season.
Sino Eagle returned from a spell in Saturday's Chris Flavelle Handicap (1200m) and, after being well supported from $5.50 to $4.20, added to an already promising race record to land her sixth win in her 13th start.
"She is a better-than-average mare and we've just got to build on her black-type now," Moody said.
"That's why I've got her up and running a few weeks before the mares' stakes races kick off, so I can have her at the top of her game while maybe some of the better ones are building."
The four-year-old sprinted quickly after stalking the speed to win by two lengths over Aces And Angels with Forgeress three-quarters of a length away third.
Sino Eagle finished third in the Group Three Tressady Stakes at Flemington in March in her only previous attempt in stakes company.
