A barrage of criticism for some "unfortunate" rides fired Brad Rawiller to his first city treble as a senior jockey at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Rawiller was stung by the comments posted about him on social media, but said he had answered them in the best possible way.

"I should have won the last at Cranbourne last night and the last at Warrnambool on Thursday," Rawiller said.

"I got a barrage this morning on Twitter ... people telling me I'm not as good as I was and that I should get back to the bush.

"People are entitled to their opinions, but you can't win them all, there's always going to be an unfortunate ride or two somewhere.

"One of the things about being a jockey, you're only remembered for your last ride.

"I said I'd get up off the canvas and I have."

Rawiller will be remembered, for a while at least, for three gems from his only four rides at Moonee Valley.

One of the busiest and most successful jockeys in Australia in recent seasons, Rawiller began his day with victory in the Art Series Hotel Handicap (3000m) on You Think So.

The $4 favourite, You Think So crept into the race from the 800m and was poised to strike 150m out, going on to win by 1-1/2 lengths from Yuka Joy ($8.50) with Altonio ($8.50) a further length away, third.

Rawiller made it a double on Commanding Time ($7) in the Programmed Property Services Handicap (2040m).

A near-perfect ride got Commanding Time home by two lengths from I Feel Good ($11) who finished a nose ahead of Shihabi ($5.50).

The riding, and perhaps the training, effort of the day came on Lord Of Brazil ($6) in the Tony Beddison Cup (1600m).

Lord Of Brazil has been in work at trainer Darren Weir's Warrnambool "branch" stable since April and his Valley win is the sixth of his current preparation.

"He's hit a bit of a purple patch," Weir said.

"He's not the easiest horse to train and the boys down at Warrnambool do a terrific job with him."
