A barrier trial victory rated as impressive as the one posted by stablemate Certitude before that filly's winning start to racing has boosted debut expectations for She's Bella's at Warwick Farm.
The daughter of 2008 Golden Slipper hero Sebring will contest the Vili's Pies Plate (1000m) with the race a planned springboard towards the $2 million Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast next month.
The Gai Waterhouse-trained She's Bella won her Warwick Farm trial by more than three lengths and sports the same Star Thoroughbreds colours - purple with white stars - as impressive debut winner and fellow Magic Millions hopeful Certitude.
"We've got several Magic Millions horses, we've got a few that are qualified and a few attempting to qualify," Waterhouse's stable representative Mark Newnham said.
"She has shown similar ability to Certitude. From the trials, I thought their trials were quite similar."
Certitude stamped herself as a leading Magic Millions contender when she backed up a strong trial with a dominant debut win at Rosehill on November 24.
Newnham was impressed with She's Bella's trial.
"The last furlong (200m) of her trial was very good," he said.
"We're hoping she can get to the Magic Millions. This is the first step towards it."
She's Bella is out of She's A Meanie, making the filly a half-sister to the well-performed Love Conquers All as well as She's Meaner who was trained by Waterhouse and ran second in the 2008 Magic Millions.
Blake Shinn, who rode Sebring during his career except in the Golden Slipper because of suspension, has the ride on She's Bella.
"Tommy (Berry) is suspended and it is too light for Nash (Rawiller)," Newnham said.
"Plus, there's quite a few of Sebring's owners in her and Blake also comes and rides work. It was a pretty obvious choice."
