This filly has an impressive pedigree. She is by the proven, versatile Danehill stallion Rock Of Gibraltar. Her Dam Arboretum who is by Legendary sire Woodman, is a city winner of 2 races. More importantly, she placed in the Group 1 SAJC Australasian Oaks. Already proving her worth as a producer, Arbortetum has had one foal to race for one winner being Power To Surprise. Power To Surprise is trained by Joseph Pride and is a city winner of 4 races and over $109,000 in prize money. The dams 2 year old by Exceed and Excel is currently in work with power house trainer Mick Price.
This fillys grandam Mariton, is by champion sire Marscay. She was a winner of 9 races of which 4 came as a two year old. Mariton was also Group 1 and Listed placed. Producing winners runs through the family being the dam of 7 winners. Further back in the family features the Group 1 sire Zedative (Sire of Magic Albert, Assertive Lad, Typhoon Zed and Strategic), young sire sensation Jet Spur, and Group winner Melito.
With such a rich pedigree, there is little doubt that this filly represents outstanding residual value after racing.
This filly features some of the worlds most renowned and successful sires in her pedigree being Danehill, Mr Prospector and Marscay. She is bred on a similar cross to Group 1 winners Miss Finland, Alexander Tango, Catbird, Camerena and Elvstroem.
This striking bay filly possesses a powerful hind quarter, a strong sloping shoulder, a purposeful walk and an attractive head. She has a lovely temperament and handled the pressure of the sale yard extremely well.
