Purchased for $60,000 (PLUS GST) at the recent MELBOURNE PREMIER YEARLING SALES this outstanding daughter of BEL ESPRIT covers of all of Mick and my criteria in selecting a filly of outstanding quality. She is a filly that was purchased at outstanding value very early (LOT 7) on day 1 of the sale and when you view the video I am sure that you too will agree that she appears to possess a great deal of quality added to the fact she comes from just an outstanding family that just continues to throw GROUP and BLACK TYPE performers all the way through.

BEL ESPRIT demonstrated his ability as a race horse by scoring each of his eight victories in black type races. He was triumphant in the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes-GROUP ONE,BTC Doomben 10,000-GROUP ONE,VRC Maribyrnong Plate-GROUP TWO,MRC Blue Diamond Prelude-GROUP THREE, Blue Diamond Preview-GROUP THREE, McNeil Stakes-GROUP THREE,MVRC Mitchell McKenzie Stakes-LISTED and St Albans Stakes-LISTED. His four seconds were registered in GROUP ONE events, which combined to enable him to earn more than $1 million both as a 2YO and 3YO.In fact his record should have been better as those who saw him go under in the Caulfield Guineas when second to Helenus left the course shaking their heads as he was one of the best things beaten ever seen flashing home from near last at the turn to go under a short margin. Another 50 meters would have all he would have needed to pull off a stunning victory.

Bel Esprit's sire Royal Academy was European Champion Three Year Old Miler who was fast enough to land the July Cup-GROUP ONE (1200 METERS) and then take that speed on to win the Breeders Cup Mile-GROUP ONE (1600 meters) before becoming Champion First Crop Sire in the United Kingdom and in Australia. The sire of over 1150 individual winners Royal Academy's 155 Stakes Winners include Kenwood Melody,Honour the Name,La Bella Dame (our own syndication!),Phoenix Park, Regal Kiss,Quays,Royal Courtship, Piccadilly Circus,Sarson Trail, Tears Royal etc,the list is endless.
