Description
Stratum has impressed beyond expectation so far with stakes winners such as G1 Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily, Listed winner Pellizotti, and other winners including Eclair Mystic, Celebration Girl, American Crew and Posh Chic.
Stratum currently leads the first season sire table by both winnings and prize money and is well on the way to leading the general 2 year old sire table by prize money... a feat that was last accomplished by the great Danehill.
Danehill, Luskin Star, Kaapstad and Vain all feature in this pedigree resulting in a culmination of some world class sires. The dam is a winner, has had two foals to race for two winners, and is a half sister to Group 1 winner and leading sire Bel Esprit (Sire of Black Caviar and Bel Mer). Further back in the family is Group 1 winner Vin D Amour, Group 1 winner Mahaasin, Multiple Group 3 winner Secret Seal and Group 2 winner King of Saxony.
This filly is bred on the same cross as Group 1 winning fillies Lotteria, Samantha Miss, Melito and Allez Wonder. Looking for residual value after racing? Here it is!
CATALOUGE COMMENTS: Built like a colt. A well grown, strong bodied filly that stands over good ground. She has a lovely, floating walk that exudes quality. Her sire Stratum can really throw a nice type and looks to have passed many of his great qualities onto this filly. Being such a big striding filly, she looks like she will make a nice 1200m - 1600m horse. Has the strength and power to compete as a 2 year old and will further excel at three.
This filly will be broken in and educated by industry leader Shane Rose. Shane has broken in and educated an array of Group and city winning horses for multiple Melbourne and Sydney trainers. His most recent notable graduate is the 2010 Golden Slipper runner up Decision Time.
