The sire – Pierro (by Lonhro - Miss Right Note) Bay 2009, 16.1 hh

Pierro was an absolute freak of nature on the racecourse. He was the undefeated champion 2yo of his era after winning the coveted Triple Crown (Gr 1 Golden Slipper, Gr 1 Sires Produce, Gr 1 Champagne Stakes), a feat rarely achieved. That labelled him as the highest-rated Australian juvenile since 1977.

He went on to win 2 more Gr 1 races at 3yo, along with 2 runner up Gr 1 placings and a 3rd in the Gr 1 Cox Plate. His race record was incredible, 14 starts (all in stakes company), 11 wins (5 Gr 1’s), 2 seconds (both Gr 1’s), and a 3rd (Gr 1 Cox Plate).

The colt passed all vet inspections as LOW RISK. He has clean x-rays and passed his scope. He also passed a clinical examination with flying colours, with no abnormal findings.

He will spell until the 11th of April at Cavallo Park. He will then commence to be broken in on the 12th of April with Gordon Pratt at Doran Park.
