There are very limited opportunities to race a colt of this pedigree. On offer is this very well put together colt by the exciting young Japanese stallion REAL STEEL. He was a Champion miler and is of course by the Champion Japanese sire himself, DEEP IMPACT.


This colt is somewhat of a rare commodity in Australia as Real Steel only stood for one season here at Arrowfield Stud in 2019, resulting of course in this one and only crop of yearlings this season. So that leaves very limited opportunities to tap into his Japanese bloodlines, which through Deep Impact, is proving to be highly effective and highly sort after.


But it doesn't stop there! This colt is out of the very well-related Fastnet Rock mare ASPEN SUMMIT, herself a full sister to Gr.1 winner IRISH LIGHTS. Plus, she has already produced the 5-time metropolitan winner SOLAR APEX, a three-quarter relation to our colt. Solar Apex is currently in the middle of a racing preparation and is in very good form.


We know just how good the Japanese thoroughbred is; it has been proven time and time again that they are a superior breed of middle distance/stayers. Just look at the results of many of our major races in recent years. From limited numbers brought over here, they have won many of our great races such as the Melbourne Cup (DELTA BLUES), Caulfield Cup (MER DE GLACE & ADMIRE RAKTI), Cox Plate (LYS GRACIEUX) and of course more recently the incredible HITOTSU winning the VRC and SA Derby's and the Australian Guineas.


Arrowfield Stud have been the pioneers in introducing the Japanese bloodlines to Australia, and it is through them that we have access to these incredible pedigrees. They are a world class breeding operation and have produced countless numbers of Group 1 winners. This colt was bred, born, and reared on their Group 1 producing pastures which has given him the best possible start to his life as a racehorse. You can buy from Arrowfield Stud with plenty of confidence knowing they have produced a world class product.


Leading trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr will train this horse from their young and already multiple Group 1 winning, brand new, state of the art stables in Cranbourne. The stable is absolutely flying, and this colt will have no better chance at his career on the track then with them.

The colt passed all vet inspections as LOW RISK. Clean x-rays, grade 1 scope, and clinically he is sound and in perfect health.


His pedigree and conformation suggest that he may make a 2yo, but he is definitely one that will continue to improve with time and will make a lovely 3yo+ which we plan to aim at the classic races such as the various Guineas’ and Derby's in both Melbourne and Sydney.
