We have been using the MATCHEM cardio, genetic and biomechanical testing to supplement our yearling selection process for the last couple of years and the early results have been quite incredible. We only test the horses that we have already shortlisted based on pedigree and physical inspection, and we use the Matchem Class Score as the final piece of the puzzle when deciding which horses to bid on at the auction. The Matchem Class Score ranges from around 20 (poor) up to around 90 (incredibly rare). We look to purchase horses with scores at 70 or above (37% of the horses that we tested last year scored above 70, and only 18% scored above 75).


This colt is currently completing his orientation preparation and will be aimed at the $2 million 2017 Magic Millions 2YO Classic.


Group 1 winning sprinter SNITZEL was second in the 2014 Australian Sires Premiership (behind his Champion Sire father, REDOUTE'S CHOICE) and is currently the runaway leader in Australia's two year old sires premiership (by winners) with 16 individual 2YO winners for the season (the next best is nine).


Overall SNITZEL has produced 397 individual winners (to 11 May 2016) at an incredible 70.5% winners/runners. His 85 individual stakes performers include the Group 1 winners SHAMUS AWARD (Cox Plate and Australian Guineas), SNITZERLAND, WANDJINA, SWEET IDEA, SIZZLING and HOT SNITZEL.


THE DAM
REGROWTH was one of the countries best two year old fillies of her year. She was a dominant winner of her first two starts at two, including a 3.5 length victory in the Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes (1000m). She was third when odds on favourite in the Group 2 SAJC Breeders Stakes (1200m) before bouncing back for another win in the Listed Waltzing Lily Stakes at Flemington (1100m). She only had four further starts at three including a third in a Listed race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day.


REGROWTH is a sister to the dam of Golden Slipper winner FORENSICS and is a daughter of another stakes winning two year old, TRUE BLONDE, who is a half-sister to Champion Stallion SNIPPETS, Stakes winners QUICK SCORE, ASAWIR and the dams of stallions NOT A SINGLE DOUBT and ZIZOU.


REGROWTH has produced six winners from seven horses to race including the Group 3 Breeders Stakes winner, COLOUR. The only foal that hasn't yet won CALL ME ANYTHING (3yo) has been placed at Flemington, and looks a certain future winner having won a Randwick trial on 6 May.
