As the syndicators of the outstanding fillies Rubisaki and Fituese we are thrilled to offer this outstanding filly.
This outstanding filly is by a proven sire out of a high class and well related Commands mare in Awasita. I loved her from the moment I saw her and was thrilled when she vetted out without any issues.
I syndicated and raced her dam and this filly looks a lot like her. The filly is incredibly athletic with a nice depth of girth and great hindquarter. She is a early August foal and may well as a early 2yo. It wouldn’t surprise me.
Spirit Of Boom did a remarkable job to be 2nd on the Australian First Season Sire’s List in 2017/18 Season behind the super young sire Zoustar.
The filly was reared at Edinburgh Park Stud at Wingham in NSW. I have only ever purchased three horses from the stud with these winning 22 races and $1,623,180 in stakes money.
The combined purchase price was $260,000 with these three mares valued at over $2million. They are Rubisaki, Zizzis and Black And Tan who is sadly deceased.
Awasita is by Commands who has done a great job as a broodmare sire. He is currently 10th on the Australian Broodmare List with three Group 1 winners to his credit.
Awasita is out of the Grand Lodge mare Aemilee. She was a Sydney 2yo winner and was placed 4th in the AJC Reginald Allen. She produced five winners including Scarecrow who won $819,825 here and in Hong Kong.
The 3rd dam was Sally Lou the dam of the high class sprinter and successful sire Magic Albert. A yearling out of Denmagic on the page sold for $1,100,000 at this sale.
Spirit Of Boom was a very fast horse by Sequalo who did a great job on the track and at stud. We were lucky enough to race Holding who was one of Sequalo’s first good horses. Spirit Of Boom has followed on in his sire Sequalo steps producing tough sound sprinters.
Spirit Of Boom was a Group 1 winner out of a very good mare in Temple Spirit who threw the Group 1 winner Temple Of Boom. He did a remarkable job at stud and was 2nd on the Australian First Season List behind Zoustar. He achieved this on the back of a very average book of mares.
This crop of yearlings are out of a very good group of mares. I’m thrilled to offer this filly, she is a cracker.
Kris Lees will train the filly from his Newcastle base but has a Gold Coast base and has regularly conducted successful raids up north including winning the Mode Stakes and Magic Millions Stayers Cup for Prime Thoroughbreds.
