We are very proud to be offering you our latest purchase, an absolute cracker of a colt by Tavistock out of the Zabeel mare Zeranti. He's an incredible specimen and is right up there with one of the best types we have ever purchased!


He was bought from the Inglis Ready 2 Race Breeze Up Sale and he breezed up in the very fast time of 10.44s over 200m. He is obviously bred to stay being by Tavistock and out of a Zabeel mare, and so that makes the time of 10.44s even more remarkable given he is not a sprinting type. This combination of stamina and speed is a lethal attribute for a staying colt to possess. I anticipate that he will sprint competitively over 1400m early on in his racing career, before improving significantly as he steps out further in distance.


As mentioned above, he is bred on the Tavistock / Zabeel cross which has proven to be one of the most succesful crosses for Derby/Oaks winners in recent years. That exact same cross is Tavistock's most successful cross, having produced the likes of Hong Kong Champion Horse Of The Year WERTHER, Victoria Derby winner TARZINO & JOHHNY GET ANGRY, ATC Derby winner TAVAGO and Australasian Oaks winner TOFFEE TONGUE. They are all either out of a Zabeel mare, or Zabeel is prominent through the Dam side! In fact, 4 of Tavistock's 6 group 1 winners are bred directly out of a Zabeel mare, just like our colt! So you know this cross works!


Plus this colt's full-brother The Irishman won impressively on debut and raced in Listed company at just his second start. He was a beaten favourite but raced greenly in the straight and wasn't beaten very far at all. There are reports that his trainer Tony Pike has a huge opinion of him!


As you will see in the various videos, this colt is an outstanding type. He is very athletic, has a lovely big stride on him and he has the pedigree to mesh it all together for the making of a serious stayer.


He will be trained by Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr in Melbourne who are having an incredible season and are in red hot form. They are currently sitting in 2nd place on the Victorian Trainer’s Premiership. The new training partnership keeps going from strength to strength with the team just landing their first Group 1 winner in partnership, with Odeum taking out the Thousand Guineas.


Mick Price also knows the breed very well having trained TARZINO himself to win the Victoria Derby and Rosehill Guineas, along with a host of other top performers by the stallion. So he definitely knows a thing or two about the breed and is very pleased to be training him with Michael Kent Jnr.


This colt will get every chance to be successful. He is the right type, he’s got the right pedigree, and will be trained by one of the best duos in the country. It's a recipe for success, and I would love you to be a part of it with Import Racing.


The colt is currently spelling until the 30th of November. He will pre-train through the month of December and will head into Caulfield at the start of 2021.

The share price is just $4,500 per 2.5% or $9,000 for 5%. The share price includes purchase price plus GST, all sales related expenses (vets etc.), 6 weeks agistment, 4 weeks pre-training, 12 months insurance, advertising etc.


The average monthly cost for a 2.5% share is $147, 5% $216 and 10% $347. All expenses are paid up until the 31st December 2020. Owners take over expenses from the 1st January 2021.
