Just 20% remaining. UNCLE MO has had the best start to any stallions career in the USA in recent memory.
He was named America's leading first season sire (and leading two year old sire) in 2015 with 27 individual two-year-old winners in the US (plus three in Europe), 7 of those were stakes winners and another 5 were stakes placed. His progeny earnings of US$3.6m was a record - he is the only U.S. stallion with 2yo earnings in excess of $3m for one season!
The star of this first crop is undoubtedly the Kentucky Derby winner NYQUIST, who won 5 races during his 2YO season including the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile, G1 Del Mar Futurity and G1 Santa Anita Frontrunner Stakes. NYQUIST has since won his first three races at three (including the G1 Florida Derby and G1 Kentucky Derby) to stretch his unbeaten run to 8. He was finally defeated at his 9th start when he was third in the Group 1 Preakness Stakes.
As at 6 September 2016, he has already had 74 winners from 113 runners in his first crop (currently three year olds), with 18 of them already stakes winners. GOMO and another Kentucky Derby runner OUTWORK join NYQUIST as G1 winners.
He has proven to be more than just a sire of precocious two year olds as he is dominating the proven sires in the three year old sires premiership. He has an incredible 56 individual three year old winners (to 6 September) in North America and 14 individual stakes winners.
The dam, RADIATA BELLE (from the family of Golden Slipper winner BELLE DU JOUR) has had four foals to race for four winners. UNCLE MO is a significant upgrade to the sire of those horses (Excellent Art, Antonius Pius, Dylan Thomas and Nuclear Freeze) so we are expecting big things from his horse.
A big, leggy horse, we expect this horse to race as an autumn two-year-old then train on as a three and four year old. He has completed his orientation at Lindsay Park Euroa (5 September) and will now enjoy a 6-8 week spell before resuming training for his next preparation
