College Girl was a $130,000.00 Yearling Purchase. She is by Arrowfield's Group 1 Winner ALL AMERICAN out of the cleverly named CONDESAAR - HALF to Group 1 Winner REDOUTE'S DANCER - Winner of the ARC New Zealand Derby and Championship Stakes. Her third dam CONDESSA Won the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks and finished 2nd in the Group 1 Irish Oaks.


She is a well put together Athletic Type standing 15.3 - 16hh.


Her last start over 1800ms on the 3rd of October saw the Jockey being questioned over the ride as he took her too wide and was never on the track! She was only 3 lengths off them at the finish.


She won on the 12th September over 2100m in a small field to chalk up her 1st win on a 5 day backup.


In her start prior over 1900m she over-raced in the early and middle stages and looked to have sweated up prior to jumping and although she was beaten 6 lengths it was a good effort considering she stepped up from 1400m.


Her run on the 29th of August over 1400m gave a glimpse of her ability where she sustained a wide run taking a while to balance up in the straight but then finishing hard only beaten 1.5 lengths.


On the 11th August she was beaten 1.5 lengths over 1624m and was held up on the fence. Given the opportunity down the outside and she probably wins!


I think this girl has great upside as a Racing Prospect. Her Dam line pedigree suggests she could get further and if given the opportunity to lengthen stride with clear running we could see a greatly improved result.


Whether it's now or later her BREEDING potential is where the real value lies!!


With Group 1 Black Type so close to her, the chances of producing something special are greatly improved.


She has a double of BROODMARE OF THE YEAR 'Best in Show', Mr Prospector and Nearctic in her first five generations and will give breeders many exciting options.


One value option I like is AL MAHER. He is a Group 1 winner and Producer who has an Oaks and Derby winner who also matches well as per pedigree attached.


This is a very nice RACING PROSPECT that could go on and PRODUCE A CHAMPION!!
