Jet Spur can get a 2yo , both his 2yo crops have had exceptional strike rates. This colt combines the preciosity of his sire with an injection of middle distance / staying stamina.

His dam had real good ability , and after winning her maiden over 1400m at her third start , her next outing was a LISTED race over 2200m in preparation for the Vic Oaks. She unfortunately was injured and immediately retired.

Similarly the dam's half brother took Singapore racing by storm , winning three early races in outstanding fashion. He immediately stepped up to Gr1 company , starting 2nd fav in the Million Dollar , Gr1 Singapore Derby, 2000m , after only 7 starts.

So there is outstanding ability around the dam's side, the colt himself is a breathtaking type, by an extremely popular young sire.

He would also be a great Magic Millions Breeze up prospect in October should you wish to look for a quick profit. Ideal breeze up type according to the breaker who has had success at these sales.

He is of very good size and has excellent bone & muscle structure.

He is from a FRENCH DEPUTY mare GENEPI. Already a great young broodmare sire with 30 stakes performers, 11 at group level, with 1 Gr1 winner very early in his career. Quite extraordinarily rated 6th leading broodmare sire in the world by Proficiency Index ( PI ) in 2010.
In turn from one of only 15 only DANZIG mares in the Aust Stud Book, DIFFERENT APPROACH , lightly raced and was placed in all four of her starts, from a LISTED winning GONE WEST mare, broodmare sire 58 stakes winners. then from a mare by THE MINSTREL.

GENEPI , the dam of this colt had good form lines. Her first race was won by TESKARA , subsequent winner of $350K, her second was won by ZARITA , winner of over $1.6M. She won her 3rd start in impressive fashion over 1400m prompting her trainer to step her up to the 2200m Geelong Classic ( Listed ) at her next start en route to the Victoria Oaks. She was in the market , but unfortunately injured in the run and was immediately retired. Trainer Heath Connors rated her highly and thought she may have been up with the best of her sex and age group.

GENEPI'S 1/2 brother SAMURAI PHOENIX was a standout performer. He was sold to Singapore off a very good trial at Cheltenham. He won his first trial in Singapore by a widening 7 lengths. Finished 2nd on debut , won his 2nd race in ultra impressive style.

After only 7 starts , and with a record of 3 wins & 2 seconds he contested the Gr1 Patron's Bowl where Nash Rawiller made the trip to ride him. He performed well and started 2nd favourite at his next outing, the $1,000,000 Gr1 Singapore Derby, again Nash Rawiller made the trip to ride him. He was found to be suffering from a throat problem , and unfortunately his career hit a stumbling block .

Prior to this mishap Magic Millions Singapore representative Wade Burridge rated Samurai Phoenix as the best 4yo in Singapore.

He resumed in slashing style Sunday 26th June.
