Chad Schofield's run of bad luck has continued with the young jockey hospitalised with suspected fractures in both arms following a fall at Geelong.
The 20-year-old came off Classic Charm in the Briesis Cup, the feature race on Sunday, when the horse appeared to clip heels.
Schofield only picked up the ride when Vlad Duric was ruled out with illness.
Des O'Keeffe from the Victorian Jockeys Association said Schofield was fully conscious at the hospital but the fractures were significant.
On June 8, Schofield fractured his C3 vertebra in a three-horse fall at Cranbourne, just a day after he claimed his fourth Group One win for the season aboard Sonntag in the Queensland Derby.
Just after his return in August, Schofield was hit with a one month ban for improper riding which caused him to miss the early spring features.
He was due to start another suspension on Monday for careless riding at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
O'Keeffe said Schofield's parents were on their way from Sydney on Sunday night to be with their son.
