Champion jockey Damien Oliver was handed a second suspension in two days at Flemington on Saturday.
Oliver was suspended for seven meetings at Moonee Valley on Friday night and received another careless riding ban following his winning ride on Qadir in The Western Health Foundation Handicap.
Stewards said Oliver allowed Qadir to shift out near the 100m when not clear of Mightiest (Ryan Maloney) causing that galloper to be checked.
Oliver pleaded guilty and was given a seven-meeting suspension to be served cumulatively with his suspension from Friday night.
The suspensions starts at midnight tonight and end on Boxing Day allowing Oliver to ride at the Moonee Valley meeting on December 27.
Michelle Payne was handed a $400 fine for weighing in 0.5 kg light aboard Pennon in The Western Health Foundation Handicap before receiving an eight-meeting ban on a careless riding charge aboard Profit Share in The Gifte Handicap.
Stewards said she allowed her mount to shift out, causing Glen Boss aboard Dancing Rose to steady, at the 300m mark.
Her suspension starts at midnight on December 14 and she will be available for rides on December 21.
