A Fastnet Rock filly out of dual Group One winner Response has become the first yearling to fetch more than $1 million at the Magic Millions Sale at the Gold Coast.
Michael Wallace went to $1.05 million to secure the filly for the China Horse Club.
The previous best at the 2015 sale was a Sepoy-Celebrity Girl filly, also bought by the China Horse Club, for $850,000 on Wednesday.
The sale continues on Saturday night after the rich Magic Millions race day at the Gold Coast featuring the $2 million Magic Millions Classic (1200m) for two-year-olds.
