Apprentice jockey Jake Bayliss will forever remember stayer You Think So.

The Mick Kent-trained galloper provide Bayliss with his first career victory at Werribee nearly three years ago.

But the biggest prize You Think So gave Bayliss was his first Flemington winner when outstaying the opposition in the Rain Lover Handicap (2500m) on Saturday.

Hitting the lead soon after turning for home, You Think So ($12) scored his first success since the Torney Cup at Moonee Valley in February, 2013.

"For him to give me my first city Saturday win is a great thrill," Bayliss said.

"Ever since I kicked off my career he's been there somewhere.

"He's a great horse to ride, everyone loves riding him."

Kent said You Think So broke down with a tendon injury after the Werribee Cup in December, 2013 and had taken time to strike form.

He said the gelding would tackle the upcoming night series of staying races at Moonee Valley and has not completely ruled out a trip to Tasmania for the Hobart and Launceston Cups, a double he won last year with Epingle.

"He rolls along on the speed, rolls to the front and stays," Kent said.
