Outreach injured in debut second

Saturday's Canonbury Stakes runner-up Outreach's season is over almost before it began.

A brother of 2013 Golden Slipper winner Overreach, Outreach was found to have a fractured pelvis after his second to Vancouver at Rosehill.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt had been on the fifth line of betting at $13 for the $1 million Blue Diamond on February 28 and was a $14 chance for the Golden Slipper.

Outreach led for most of his debut before being claimed by Vancouver who earned Golden Slipper favouritism with the win.
