Thurlow has been nominated for the Group Three Chairman's Stakes at Sandown on the back of a pleasing barrier trial.
Jockey Craig Williams put the two-year-old filly and imported stayer Noble Protector through their paces for Qatar Bloodstock at Cranbourne last week.
Williams has a long association with Qatar Bloodstock's Sheikh Fahad Al Thani dating back to Dunaden's first appearance in Australia when he won the 2011 Geelong Cup.
Although Williams missed out on the winning Melbourne Cup ride through suspension, he subsequently partnered Dunaden to Group One wins in the 2011 Hong Kong Vase and the 2012 Caulfield Cup.
Thurlow is one of 29 nominations for Saturday's Group Three Chairman's Stakes (1000m).
After running second to Antelucan on debut over 1000m at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day, Thurlow came out to win a Listed race at Sandown over 1000m on November 15.
Thurlow holds a nomination in the Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) on February 28 and is currently a $51 chance.
While both the Robert Smerdon-trained Thurlow and stablemate Noble Protector finished out of the placings in Thursday's trials, Williams and Qatar Bloodstock's racing manager David Redvers were happy with their performances.
"David Redvers was here after flying in from New Zealand and he wanted to have a look at them at the start of their preparations, especially Noble Protector," Williams said.
"I was really happy with how she trialled and while it's still early in her preparation, she stretched out well."
Noble Protector had two starts for Smerdon after arriving from the UK last September, finishing second at Caulfield in October before running fourth in Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) at Flemington on the final day of the Melbourne Cup carnival.
