Peter and Paul Snowden have opted to split their juveniles between two states this weekend with Wolf Cry to run in Sydney and Pride Of Dubai to stake his Blue Diamond claims in Melbourne.
Wolf Cry will tackle Saturday's Lonhro Plate which has been reduced to 11 runners with the scratching of his stablemate.
Pride Of Dubai, a closing third to Ottoman at his only appearance in December, will run in Saturday's Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield with a view towards a start in Victoria's most prestigious Group One two-year-old race.
"A lot depends on what he does Saturday. All those plans could go out the window if he doesn't run well enough," Peter Snowden said.
"But on what I've seen at home, his work and how he looks and on his trial, he should be running well."
Snowden, who celebrated a midweek win at Canterbury on Wednesday with the progressive Princefamous, is also keen to test Wolf Cry at Randwick.
The colt finished third to Golden Slipper favourite Vancouver at his only start and meets a field that includes four of Godolphin's best youngsters.
Saturday's assignment is shaping as a watershed race for Wolf Cry who gets a chance to convince Snowden he is worthy of a Slipper bid.
"He doesn't really give us the feel of a sprinting-type two-year-old but in saying that his trials have been good and he's right up to the mark to run well Saturday," he said.
"I might be wrong, he might be a Slipper horse.
"He's here at the right time and he's going to have the right preparation to get there if he's got that sort of ability."
