Trainer Ciaron Maher is repeating a successful four-start spring program with Set Square in a bid to deliver an ATC Australian Oaks win.
Set Square won the VRC Oaks at her fourth race start and Maher has timed her autumn campaign with the same precision.
The three-year-old will return to racing in The Vanity (1400m) at Flemington on Saturday.
A daughter of Reset, Set Square was beaten first-up in a maiden over 1354m at Donald before going on to win her next three starts.
Following Saturday's first-up assignment Maher said Set Square was likely to contest The Matron Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on March 14.
It will then be off to Sydney for the Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill on March 28 and the Australian Oaks (2400m) on April 11.
"She's a natural stayer and all you've got to do is get her to those races as fit and as well as you can," Maher said.
Set Square shares the second line of early betting for the Australian Oaks.
Maher said Set Square had a five-week break following her VRC Oaks success and while he hasn't set her for a first-up victory he expects the filly to run well.
He said he would be happy with the filly if she's hitting the line strongly.
"There's not a lot of pressure put on this race but I think she'll hit the line pretty well," he said.
Set Square is rated a $7.50 chance for her return with in-form filly Wawail the $2.45 favourite.
