Talented sprinting mare Chloe In Paris is doing so well at making up for lost time from racing that trainer Ciaron Maher is considering interstate options during the autumn carnival.
Group and Listed-placed as a spring three-year-old, Chloe In Paris resumed after almost 11 months off the scene to break her maiden at Moonee Valley and then backed it up with another win at Flemington on Saturday.
The four-year-old took a sit behind front-runner Sweet Emily in Saturday's Indian Summer Handicap (1000m) before sprinting to the front inside the final 250m.
The $3.50 favourite had a length to spare over the fast-finishing Runway Star ($6) with 1-1/4 lengths to Sweet Emily ($20) third.
"She's always shown she's a high-class filly," Maher said.
"We were soft on her into the Valley and she won in good time and then she's improved into this today."
A daughter of Exceed And Excel out of Innovation Girl, Chloe In Paris had a bone chip removed from a knee which resulted in a long convalescence.
Maher said the mare was likely to race again in Melbourne in two weeks before he looks at interstate options.
"I've given her that extra bit of time in the paddock with the vision of maybe getting her to Sydney," he said.
"I thought tracks with a bit of give in it, seeing as though she has a few niggles, might suit her."
