Heavy rain is expected to continue in South East Queensland with racing in doubt for the rest of the week.
Wednesday's Doomben meeting has been called off with Saturday's program at the track also under threat.
Doomben received nearly 100mm of rain in just four hours and more was predicted.
Steward Martin Knibbs and course manager Jim Roberts inspected the track at 6.15 am on Wednesday.
"It was impossible to race," Knibbs said.
Roberts said he could not remember a time when so much surface water covered the track.
"It started raining about 2am and just kept coming," he said.
It was the third Doomben meeting washed out in the past three months and half a meeting was washed out two weeks ago.
South East Queensland has lost 11 full race meetings and four partial race meetings in recent months.
