Jockey Noel Callow is winding down his international career to concentrate on re-establishing himself in Melbourne.
Callow has been riding through Asia since 2007 but on return trips to Australia has found it hard to break back into local riding ranks.
After successful stints in Mauritius and Malaysia during 2014, Callow returned home to Melbourne in November before a fall at Geelong put him on the sidelines until last month.
Callow found himself back in the winners' enclosure at Caulfield on Saturday when he guided Bel Rhythm ($15) to a narrow victory over Sir Berus ($18) in the Jack Elliott Handicap.
Bel Rhythm's win was Callow's second in the metropolitan area for the 2014-15 season but his ninth from 25 rides since his return to the saddle from injury.
"I'm home to stay," Callow said.
"I've enjoyed the experience of riding overseas but it's time to settle down back here.
"It's been very hard when I have come back before and have struggled getting rides.
"Trainers have been worried that I might just pack up and go again, but I'm home now."
