The emergence of Peeping as a stakes-class filly has come as no surprise to her trainer Ron Quinton.
"One of the first things I said to (owner) Tom Kelly when I first got her going was that she's a racehorse," Quinton said.
Since resuming with a victory in a midweek race, Peeping has made a quick graduation through the sprinting ranks.
Yet to miss a place in six starts, she posted a valuable black-type win at Rosehill last month and will chase another in the Group Three JHB Carr Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on Saturday.
The three-year-old is coming off a heavy-track placing and continues to cope with the demands of her first serious racing campaign.
"She has held together well in all aspects, in soundness and in the stable. She's a happy horse," Quinton said.
Peeping will be one of three Randwick runners for Quinton.
He will also saddle up Boss Lane in the Egroup Security Sprint and veteran Monton in the TAB Rewards Royal Randwick 100 Handicap, both to be ridden by apprentice Koby Jennings.
Quinton is hoping a return to Randwick proves a winning move for Boss Lane, who has posted three of his four wins at his home track, while Monton finds himself in a suitable race first-up.
