Trust In A Gust is the best credentialled horse running at Caulfield on Saturday and has been backed accordingly.
The dual Group One winner resumes in the $150,000 VOBIS Gold Sprint (1200m) under set weights conditions and is easily the highest-rated horse in the race.
Trust In A Gust, who hasn't raced since his Toorak Handicap win in the spring, opened at $2.60 but the stallion-in-waiting has been crunched into odds-on at $1.95.
"About 85 per cent of all the support in the race is on Trust In A Gust," Trent Langskaill, media spokesman for TAB, said.
"The favourite punters are of the indication that he'll resume in fine fettle.
"He's easily the most popular runner at Caulfield tomorrow, with Fontein Ruby the second best."
The Group-winning Fontein Ruby runs in the $250,000 VOBIS Gold Reef (1600m) and it will be the Robert Smerdon-trained filly's final lead-up to the Group One Australasian Oaks (2000m) in Adelaide in two weeks.
Fontein Ruby has firmed from $2.80 to $2 for Saturday's set weights event for three-year-olds which is restricted to VOBIS Gold horses.
The Darren Weir-trained Trust In A Gust won the Rupert Clarke Stakes and Toorak Handicap Group One double at Caulfield during his spring preparation.
He is scheduled to head to Brisbane after his first-up run to contest the Group One BTC Cup, Doomben 10,000 and Stradbroke Handicap before he retires to stand at Swettenham Stud.
