Clipperton to miss Canterbury after fall

Tuesday 28 April 2015, 5:14pm

Jockey Sam Clipperton has pulled out of Wednesday's Canterbury meeting after falling at Kembla Grange.

Clipperton suffered soft tissue injuries and bruising to his back and elbow after falling off Mystic Harmony in the fourth race on Tuesday, Racing NSW deputy chief steward Greg Rudolph said.

The young rider had been scheduled to partner favourite Adirondack in the TAB Rewards Handicap at Canterbury and he will be replaced by Tye Angland.

He will also be replaced by Kerrin McEvoy on Alavesa in the Schweppes Handicap.

Stewards have heard evidence from Clipperton at an inquiry into his fall.
