Miracles Of Life has made a triumphant return to Adelaide to win the Group One Robert Sangster Stakes while Perth filly Delicacy has claimed the Australasian Oaks.
Originally trained at Morphettville by Dan Clarken, Miracles Of Life was sent to Peter and Paul Snowden in Sydney after Stonestreet Farm bought her at a broodmare sale.
Clarken took Miracles Of Life to Group One success in the 2013 Blue Diamond Stakes and she has won three races for the Snowdens including Saturday's Sangster (1200m).
Leading Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman made the trip to Adelaide to ride the four-year-old who came with a late run to beat Gregers by a short half head to the delight of the crowd.
"It's a bit like a Black Caviar reception. They were all over her here and so they should be," Paul Snowden told Sky Thoroughbred Central.
"It's great for her to come back here and do what she did.
"It's fantastic. She is a special horse."
Bowman said he had a lovely run on the Miracles Of Life and she deserved the win.
"It's an absolute pleasure and means a lot to me and the stable," Bowman said.
"The race was a bit muddling early but I peeled off Sabatini and I had the engine to get the job done.
"It takes a Group one horse to win this race. She is a class mare.
Delicacy's victory in the Group One Oaks (2000m) was more dominant with the filly coming out of the pack to chase down Vinery Stud Stakes winner Fenway and win by 1-1/4 lengths.
Peter Hall picked up the ride on the Grant Williams-trained filly when William Pike was injured last week.
"It was a great ride. She used no petrol early," Williams said.
"That was our plan and it paid off."
Williams and prominent West Australian owner Bob Peters will discuss backing Delicacy up in next Saturday's SA Derby (2500m).
She is already the winner of the WA Oaks/Derby double, both over 2400m.
The disappointment of the Australasian Oaks was the favourite Fontein Ruby who was never in contention and finished 11th.
