Sydney's wet weather has forced a change of plans for Rubick who will not travel to Brisbane for the BTC Cup.
Trainer Gerald Ryan said the rain had made it difficult to get the colt in peak condition for Saturday's 1200m sprint and he would go to the paddock.
Rubick is slated to go to stud in the spring and may now have missed his Group One opportunity.
Ryan is also juggling the programs of the horses which missed out on racing at Hawkesbury on Saturday when the races were called off.
The Hawkesbury Guineas and Darley Crown have been added to Saturday's Rosehill program, a week before the feature Scone meeting.
"Rubick won't be going to Brisbane," Ryan said.
"The wet has just made it too hard to get the work into him and there's also the prospect of going up there and striking a wet track.
"He'll go to the paddock."
Queensland Derby bound Bachman will run in the Hawkesbury Guineas but Ygritte is not a certain starter.
"Ygritte may go straight to the Scone Guineas instead," Ryan said.
"Solicit and Peace Force will run in the Darley Crown but that would probably rule them out of Scone.
"The Glenlogan Park Stakes in Brisbane two weeks later would be the option for them."
While the wet might have affected Sydney's training tracks, the Sydney International Equestrian Centre was in perfect condition on Sunday when Ryan launched his defence of the jockeys jumping challenge.
Unfortunately he missed out with Kerrin McEvoy emerging triumphant after the event in which jockeys were paired with equestrians.
The jockeys went into the show ring while the equestrians competed in pony races.
"My horse refused the first two jumps," Ryan said.
"But it was a lot of fun and Kerrin did well."
Glyn Schofield and Kathy O'Hara also competed in the event.
