The hangover of Sydney's wet weather will still be felt at Rosehill on Saturday and that is just fine by Kevin Moses.
The Randwick trainer will have three runners across the expanded 10-race card which includes two feature races rescheduled from last weekend's washed-out Hawkesbury meeting.
Moses will start My Sabeel in a belated renewal of the Group Three Darley Crown while siblings Singing Flame and Song And Laughter contest the Listed Lord Mayor's Cup and Blackwoods.com.au Handicap respectively.
"All three of them like wet ground and that doesn't happen very often, that you take three to the races who all get through it," Moses said.
My Sabeel raced in great heart during the Sydney autumn carnival despite striking firm tracks.
It was the ground that led to an interval in her campaign when she pulled up lame from her most recent run in the Emancipation Stakes in March.
"She's a seven-year-old mare so she's like a grandmother," Moses said.
"She jarred up pretty badly.
"But she's had six weeks off since that run, I have had to produce a vet certificate and it's all fine now."
Singing Flame is on the road to resurrecting his racing career which stalled when he injured a leg after last year's Australian Derby.
He was sidelined for almost a year but has raced back into form and was a last-start third behind Gypsy Diamond and subsequent Hollindale Stakes winner Leebaz in the JRA Plate.
Moses said the big-striding four-year-old took a few runs to hit his straps but expected the horse to maintain his momentum, particularly on a wet track.
"I think he will hold his form now," Moses said.
"He was out for a long time, he did his tendon 12 months ago but he's fit and well."
Song And Laughter - Singing Flame's older sister by a year - has earned herself a shot at Saturday grade with successive midweek wins.
