Myboycharlie three year-old Happy Surveys has maintained his unbeaten record in Hong Kong with another impressive victory at Happy Valley on Wednesday evening.
Champion jockey Joao Moreira drove the promising sprinter through a gap in the straight to win the Le French May Trophy (1200m) by a half-length from King Of Household (Testa Rossa). “Both of his races have worked out well and with the wet conditions they spread out and he got plenty of room,” trainer John Size said. “He looks like he could win again on that.
From the same crop as Gr.1 winner Peggy Jean, Happy Surveys (3g Myboycharlie – Montelimar by Fusaichi Pegasus) had won on debut in Hong Kong on May 5 on a dry track. He had arrived from Australia after finishing midfield in a Cranbourne trial for Price Bloodstock last October.
She is also the dam of talented Myboycharlie geldng Loyalist who has won two of his last four starts at Wyong and Sunshine Coast for Newcastle trainer Todd Howlett.
Myboycharlie is gearing up for another big weekend in Brisbane this Saturday with his last-start stakes winners Charlie Boy in the G1 Doomben 10,000 and Blueberry Hill in the G2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
Blueberry Hill is the second Group winning 2yo by Myboycharlie this year following Jameka's win in the VRC Sires Produce S. last month.
