Jason Collett's winning ride on Fiftyshadesofgrey at Rosehill has come at a cost.
Collett was suspended for coming out at the 200m mark of Saturday's Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1200m), taking a narrow run and causing Brenton Avdulla on Gold Epona to lose his running.
Stewards took a particularly dim view of the incident, slapping Collett with a $1000 fine to go with ban which starts after next Monday's Goulburn meeting.
Collett will be back riding on July 2.
Racing NSW steward Ray Murrihy said the fine was for "throwing caution to the wind".
The winner's trainer Marc Conners was just happy to see the mare win after her unlucky second at Rosehill last Monday when she was blocked for more than one run.
"I don't usually back horses up so quickly but she has just done so well," Conners said.
"But I thought she was going to be unlucky again."
Fiftyshadesofgrey ($3.70) chased down Two Blue ($9) to win by half a length.
