Stakes-winning stayer Shoreham will be given the chance to make an immediate impact for his new stable in the Group Three Tattersall's Cup at the Gold Coast.

Prominent Queensland owner Les Cowell recently bought Shoreham in a private deal and the five-year-old has settled in to Gerald Ryan's Sydney yard.

The gelding was formerly prepared in Melbourne by Saab Hasan who trained him to win a Listed 2500m-race and a Group One third in the 2013 SA Derby among other stakes placings.

"He's been in the stable a couple of weeks and he came to us in great order," Ryan said.

"He is a lovely little fellow. He's very casual and relaxed which is a good attitude for a stayer.

"He has handled the right-handed way of running really well at Rosehill and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do at the Gold Coast."

The Group Three Tattersall's Cup (2400m) is one of the main support features on Saturday at the Gold Coast which hosts the final Group One race of the season, the Tattersall's Tiara (1400m) for fillies and mares.

Ryan will saddle up Solicit and Estonian Princess in the Tiara with stablemate Peace Force in the spelling paddock after failing to recover in time from an eye infection.

Group One placed twice as a three-year-old when in the care of Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra in Melbourne, Solicit was sent to Ryan by her owner David Moodie who hoped a change of scenery would help her recapture her form.

The mare has thrived since she has been in the semi-rural surrounds at Ryan's Hawkesbury satellite stable.

She beat Peace Force to win the Darley Crown at Rosehill before running a close second to her stablemate in the Glenlogan Park Stakes at Doomben.

Ryan will also have Bachman running at the meeting in an 1800m Listed race.

The colt pleased his trainer with his fast-finishing second to Jabali in the Queensland Guineas at his most recent start after connections abandoned a tilt at the Queensland Derby.

"It was a great run - his best for a while and he will appreciate the 1800 metres," Ryan said.
